Needing a win to finish in the Top 6, the Boars were never really in the match as Hall ran away with a 38-7 win on a soggy deck.
The loss means Batemans Bay finished in eighth position this season after a really promising start which had the side inside the Top 3.
Coach Matt Ryan said the weather conditions suited Hall's style of play more than the Boars'.
"The wet track and the style of play that encourage definitely suited Hall," he said.
"We couldn't adapt our style to suit the conditions, and the game just got away from us.
"It was just one of those games, we were confident going in because we had some troops back and had a really good week at training, but it wasn't to be."
Ryan said it felt like the universe was against the Boars, including a situation where the team bus was unavailable on Saturday because it was stuck at the mechanics.
"It felt like things just kept piling on us," he said.
"We tried to use it as motivation, but a lot of other teams are putting the same blokes out on the field every week, and we were still switching and changing.
"We just weren't a settled team, and there was nothing we could do about that."
Despite the disappointing end to 2021, coach Ryan believes a good frame has been set for success in 2022.
"We've got a lot of young guys, but we also have other players who have already stated their intention to play on, and we can definitely build a side around them," he said.
"Hopefully they can hit the ground running again and gain some early momentum.
"I don't foresee any major rebuild, I think they'll be looking really good next year."
