The 'Hawks still have a game in hand against third-placed ADFA after a 68-point win over the Molonglo Juggernauts in Canberra, the side they beat in the 2018 grand final.
Brett Garland played a starring role up forward with seven goals, while Byron Van Dyk and Jarrod Thompson both kicked three goals in the 19.7 (121) to 8.5 (53) win.
The Seahawks welcomed back premiership players Billy Alves, Shaun Green, and Kyle O'Malley in the win, and Coach Kenny expects key forward Ross Hummel to return in the next match against Tuggeranong.
"We're slowly starting to get experienced guys back in the side around the young blokes who have been doing a cracking job for us," he said.
"We'll focus on playing consistent footy over the next couple of weeks, because I still don't think we've strung together a full four-quarter game yet.
"We want to be playing our best footy at the back end of the season."
Coach Kenny said it was good to get back on the park after a "frustrating" wash out last weekend.
"We've been building some momentum, and ANU would have played ADFA which would have either given us some breathing space in the Top 2 or given us a crack at the top spot," he said.
"You want to be playing as much as possible, especially with the world we're all living in at the moment - you could wake up one morning and the season could be canned."
The Seahawks swept the day against the Juggernauts, as the women's side had an eight-point win and the reserves recorded a 55-point win.
The women's side's win put them equal with Molonglo in second spot with 11 wins this season, but they still trail the Juggernauts on percentage.
"We like to make these days an all-club thing," coach Kenny said.
"We have a rotating roster where we'll get some of the boys there early to help out the women's side with waterboys or runners, and then the girls stay back and help out in the men's grades.
"It's never about just one team doing well, it's about the whole club doing well, and to have three wins up there is unreal."
The Seahawks have a home game against Tuggeranong Valley this Saturday. The women will start at 10am, the reserve-grade will play the Southern Cats at 12pm, and the first-grade clash is at 2pm.
