Meanwhile, the reserve grade side finished off an undefeated season, and will receive a first-week bye straight into the Major Semi Final.

The powerful reserve-grade side ran riot against an undermanned Batemans Bay, winning the Robbie Stewart Memorial Shield 52-0.

Robbie Stewart tragically lost his battle with a brain tumour at the age of just 25 in 2012, just days before he was scheduled to lead the Sharks onto the ground in a special jersey for NAIDOC Week.

Since his death, the Sharks and Tigers have played for the Robbie Stewart Memorial Shield in reserve grade.

Unfortunately, the Tigers loss means the reserve-grade side finished sixth this season, and narrowly missed playing finals only on points differential.

The Sharks had already sewn up a first-grade finals spot before the match, and the Tigers had no chance at playing finals, but it didn't stop the two sides from playing another tough, tight local derby.

Moruya's young second rower Jack Grant scored a hat-trick to cap off a fantastic season in a 28-14 win for the Donna McClelland Charity Shield.

Jacob Bradbury, Dennis Green, and Sean Smith scored trys for the Tigers, who finished the season with three wins and a draw from their 14 rounds.

The final score didn't do the tight contest justice, as the teams were separated by just four points with eight minutes to go.

Moruya will now look to the finals, as both grades would consider themselves a big chance of playing on grand final day.
