The elderly man was treated at the scene for knee and arm injuries, before he was taken to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition. He has since been released.
South Coast Police District officers commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following extensive enquiries, detectives attended a home in the Sydney suburb of Doonside and found a man hiding under a bed, just after 3pm on Tuesday, July 27.

He was refused bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday, July 28.
