FRESH off their first loss of the 2021 Basketball NSW Waratah League season, Ben Bagoly's Shoalhaven Tigers have bounced back into form by edging the Central Coast Waves 73-60 on Saturday.
In the second game of the Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre's double-header, the Tigers made a much-improved start to the ball game, to lead by nine points at the first break.
The two division two men's side traded baskets in the second 10-minute period, as the host held a 37-25 lead at half-time.
Quarter number three belonged to the visitors, who outscored Bagoly's troops 16-12, to the close to just eight points by the final break in play.
But the Tigers responded to extend their margin to as many as 17 points midway through the final period, before running out winners by 13.
The Tigers, who are now 3-1 this season, were paced by Bruce Ozolins' 21 points.
Others to reach double-figures in the win were Dane Jensen (16), Nick Bizjak (11) and Samuel Balfour (10).
The Tigers now hit the road, travelling to the Mount Annan Leisure Centre to face the Camden Valley Wildfire on Saturday from 2.30pm Saturday.
