In January 2021, officers attached to the South Coast Police District commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the Bega Valley.
Following inquiries, investigators executed a search warrant at an address in Berrambool, just north of Merimbula, about 3.30pm Thursday, May 13.
Police spoke to the occupant - a 47-year-old man - who was allegedly found in possession of methylamphetamine and cash.
During a search of the home, investigators allegedly located almost 22.5g of methylamphetamine, as well as cannabis, 'Magic Mushrooms' and prescription medication.
Officers also seized two prohibited weapons - a mace and a whip - as well as items believed to have been stolen. Items seized will undergo forensic examination.
The man was taken to Merimbula Police Station where he was charged with supplying prohibited drug in commercial quantity, possessing a prohibited weapon, and dealing with proceeds of crime.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Bega Local Court on June 29. Police said further charges were expected to be laid.
