The 24-20 win came in front of a large and loud Moruya crowd that was left stunned when Narooma scored the winning try with less than 40 seconds remaining.
Michael Lett was the star for the Devils with two tries and a constant threat from the back, but it was the forwards who worked the Devils back from a 20-6 deficit in the second half.
The Sharks jumped out the blocks with a try to Caine Brierley in their first set of the game, and Mitch Kennedy made their lead double digits with a try in the 18th minute.
Lett scored his first try of the match to cut the deficit to four, but the Sharks took a 14-6 lead thanks to a late second try from Caine Brierley off some good work from fullback Corey Arnold.
Moruya looked to have the game in hand when Ray Turner scored a good wingers' try with half-an-hour on the clock, but momentum quickly shifted thanks to some tough work up the middle by the Devils forwards.
They scored four tries in that time, including the exciting final try off a charged-down field goal attempt by captain Clint Wright, to take the win and improve to 2-1 on the season.
Caine Brierley, Corey Arnold, Mitch Kennedy, Jimmy Desaxe, and Ray Turner were judged the best Sharks on the ground, while the Devils votes went to Todd Ayers, Kane Ayers, Jackson Kelly and Michael Lett.
Although he didn't get the result he wanted, Moruya's Shane Colebrook played in his 100th first-grade game with the club.
The Devils face another local derby against the Batemans Bay Tigers at home next weekend, while the Sharks will make the long road trip to Eden to take on the Eden Tigers.
