Well, what a great celebration for the Bay! Many of us walked over the new bridge spanning our Clyde River last Saturday. The organisation to get us all there was great! Congratulations to the organisers of the walk.
Gay Lynam of Surfside was one of the first walkers on the bridge last week, before meeting up with her nephew from Canberra, who had brought his son down to play in the Saturday Rugby League Carnival.
The Easter weekend was another reason to celebrate. It was great to see the Bay buzzing with tourists, who had swarmed here for their annual holidays. It was wonderful to see the local businesses doing a great trade.
Rosie Raetz of Broulee had her son and his family down from Sydney for the Easter break. What a lovely time to be together!
Violet Merrett got a wonderful surprise over Easter, when at daughter Viv's home. Some of her family from Melbourne had arrived, including little Violet.
Noreen Bain attended a lunch for 24 Legacy Widows last week. This was the first lunch the ladies had enjoyed together for over a year and they loved catching up with each other.
Yvonne Hedrick of Batehaven travelled to Sydney last weekend to attend the wedding of her granddaughter Emma, who had to postpone the celebrations for a year due to the pandemic.
Congratulations to Dianne West celebrated 25 years in her unique business, Stitches.
Belated birthday wishes go to Juliana Paris, who celebrated Easter Thursday.
