There are so many ways to be involved with The Bay Theatre Players - not just stepping onto the stage.
Why not join in one of the many fun activities on offer as a great way to kick off 2021.
The Bay Theatre Players Play explorations will be commencing again on Wednesday, February 10.
The play exploration season will kick off with a comedy called Exit Laughing by Paul Elliott.
Exit Laughing is the story of four friends, whose biggest highlight for the last 30 years has been their weekly get together over their beloved card game of bridge.
When one of the foursome inconveniently dies, Connie, Leona and Millie, three southern ladies from Birmingham, "borrow" the ashes of their lost friend for one last card game, and the wildest most exciting night of their life ensues - which includes a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at life when you are truly living.
The show, written by Paul Elliot, was the winner of the American Association of Community Theatre 2014 NewPlayFest.
The play contains adult themes and situations, with well-delivered dialogue full of innuendo and should be a fun and hilarious start of the play exploration season.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come along to the play exploration of Exit Laughing, on Wednesday 10 February at 7pm, at The Playhouse 33 Gregory St, Batemans Bay.
Play explorations provide the opportunity for the theatre group to explore and understand whether a play would be suitable to stage at the theatre, and the Bay Theatre Players encourage anyone who has any suggestions for future plays to come along or get in contact at www.baytheatreplayers.org.au
