The event will now be held at Mollymook from Friday, March 5 to Sunday, March 7.
"It's a national event and we want everyone there, ASRL President Michael Brooks said.
"With every possible option explored and extensive consultation done with every state this was our best date working in with various state titles, Easter and Australian Titles.
"With this decision made the event will proceed regardless even if borders don't allow all states to attend.
Mr Brooks said the decision to reduce the program back to our traditional three-day event was also made.
"Stay tuned for program details including the Interstate Championships," he added.
"What we can confirm is we will have a full day racing on Sunday, so if you choose to leave early, you do this at your own risk to missing finals."
The committee would appreciate clubs to enter early to allow planning of the event, remembering that the Team Navy ASRL Open has a full refund policy should crews have to withdraw, or the event is cancelled, due to Covid 19 Border Restrictions.
Entries are now open and have been extended until February 19 2021, and invoicing won't commence until this date.

"We would like to thank the following who are remarkable supporters of 2021 Team Navy ASRL Open - Team Navy, the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, Surf Life Saving Australia, Shoalhaven City Council and the Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club," Mr Brooks said.
