South Coast Police have arrested 12 people, including three boys - one of whom was charged with possessing a knife in public - over a two-day operation in the Batemans Bay CBD.

Police have appealed to the public for information after officers charged the boys on Thursday, January 7.
Officers arrested a 16-year old, of Batehaven, and charged him with possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a drug implement and possessing a knife in a public place.
The same day, police arrested a 17-year old, of Malua Bay, and will charge him at a later date with stealing from a person, shoplifting, possessing housebreaking implements and goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Police arrested a 17-year-old Catalina boy and charged him with driving whilst disqualified, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.

"Alternatively, call your local police station. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages," police said.
On Wednesday, January 6, officers arrested a 23-year-old Bermagui man, charged him with contravening prohibition/restriction in AVO, refused him bail and issued him with strict conditional bail from Wollongong Local Court. He will face Batemans Bay Local Court on January 18.
In total, police arrested 12 people, including nine who were allegedly caught shoplifting and five of whom police issued $300 fines; searched 15 people, searched three vehicles and issued three traffic infringement notices.
