Council crews are undertaking emergency repairs of George Bass Drive at Guerilla Bay today (December 28), after a section of the road lifted during Saturday night's torrential rain.

The council said traffic control was in place and said to avoid the area if you can.
"Roads are open around the shire but debris and trees are being cleared up at various locations, so take extra care while driving," a council spokesperson said.
"The storm caused lots of blocked drains and some loss of gravel on unsealed roads.
"The full extent of damage will be assessed over the coming week.
"Drive safe, and if you see something hazardous call council's after hours number 1800 755 760."
