St Peter's Anglican College hosted a Pink Stumps Day on November 23 to create awareness and raise funds for the foundation, which has helped patients since 2005.
Included were a teacher vs student cricket match, strawberry milkshakes and a pink mufti day for the students.
Mrs Nicholls is a staff member and survivor who helped plan the event.
"Lots of people did not know about the foundation," Mrs Nicholls said.
"This was a good way to promote and raise money for it."
She sat with me and held my hand so I wasn't alone

Teacher Anita Berton said the foundation made her experience less stressful.
"My McGrath nurse helped me by making sure appointments were booked, made phone calls and would follow up on medical practitioners, who were hard to pin down," she said.
Her nurse bonded with her to keep her spirits high during the ordeal.
"When I had the operation, my family could only come so far; they were not allowed in the pre-op room," she said.
"She sat with me and held my hand before I was put under, so I wasn't alone."
Principal Darren McPartland played in the cricket match.
"We want to do a lot of fun things for the kids and teach them a lesson at the same time; this fundraiser is a good way of doing that," he said.
Despite the clouds, the weather remained dry for the match, but was drippingly humid.
"It's like being in Cairns," he said.
"The old guys here are going to be struggling in about five minutes because of the humidity."
The event raised $2525.
Due to the day's success, Mrs Nicholls and Mrs Berton hope to make it an annual event.
"It's a very important topic," Mrs Berton said.
"The more you educate the students, staff and community, the healthier the future is."
