After winning the toss and electing to bat, the hosts posted 6-163 from their 40 overs.
Leading the charge was first-drop Tristan Woods, who smashed four boundaries and one six on his way to 56.
Both Justin Rumble (29) and Zachary Blackwell (23 not out) also made meaningful contributions to the hosts' total.
With the ball, Sussex was best served by Aaron Piendl, who took 2-14 from his eight overs.
In reply, Sussex looked on track to chase down the target thanks to strong knocks from Mark Robson (49), Christian Sargood (45) and Geoff Webber (34).
But none of the visitors' other batsmen reached double figures, seeing them fall six runs short of victory (7-158).
With the cherry, Josh Neri took 3-30 for Norths, as Graham Lowbridge finished with 2-24.
This win, which moves Norths onto two wins and one draw this season, solidifies the club's spot in the top two - trialling on Batemans Bay, who is also undefeated, on percentage.
The Bay chalked up their second win on Saturday against Bay and Basin at the Vincentia Sporting Complex.
After winning the toss, the Bay batted first and made 4-209, spearheaded by half-centuries from Jamie Prior (90) and Tony Dcosta (56).
The three wicket-takers for the hosts were Rohan Beavan (1-6), Mark Horsfall (1-25) and Isaac O'Keefe (1-55).
In response, despite a courageous 44 from Jacob Gordon, Basin was all out for 140 in the 36th over.
Jason Doherty did most of the damage with 3-15, while Meljoy Dcunha (2-5), Tayah Hancock (2-11) and Eric McMahon (2-40) claimed two scalps each in the victory.
Elsewhere, Berry-Shoalhaven Heads moved into third spot in the ladder on the back of a commanding win against Bomaderry.
Batting first at Zealand Oval, the Magpies blasted 5-207 from their 40 overs, with Mal Windley top-scoring with 76.
Four bowlers claimed one wicket each for the Tigers, with Gary Evans (1-27) returning the best figures.
In reply, the Tigers crashed and burned in their run chase, with only Robert Mirabito (11) reaching double-figures - as they were all out for 51 in the 19th over.
The carnage was caused by Joseph Timbs and Logan Cosgrove who finished with 3-6 and 3-12 respectively.
In round three's final fixture, Nowra broke through for its first win of the season against Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens.
At Lyrebird Park, 79 not out from Blake Horton guided Nowra to 7-233, despite Barry Cumberland's 3-34.
In the hosts' chase, Matthew Isackson (55) put his side in a strong position before they were eventually all out for 192.
Clinton Langford snagged 3-1 off just seven deliveries, while Jacob Higgins (2-30) and Michael O'Brien (2-46) both claimed two wickets in the win.
In round four, Bomaderry host Basin, Nowra tackle Berry, Sussex lock horns with Ex-Servos and Norths face the Bay in a top of the table clash.
