I received a letter from a grateful Batemans Bay resident this week, regarding Beach Rd roadworks: "A long and arduous task, nearing completion. There have been many difficulties for residents and traffic but the courteous respectful nature of the workers has been exceptional. They have helped us in and out of our driveways through the traffic and one even posted a letter for me. I'll miss their company when they have moved on." - Rosemarie Petersen, Beach Rd.
It is so nice to hear positive comments. I'm sure the workers will really appreciate it.There are some handsome workers, so I always drive slowly.

I had a busy weekend, entertaining 16 of my late husband Bob's old friends from Sydney. There was fine food, wine, conversation, funny stories and great camaraderie. A BBQ in my backyard and a walk to Wimbie beach and a photo by his commemorative seat. They consisted of past rugby union players, reserve bank staff, a journalist and Maroubra Surf Club members, one of whom, Cliff Gerathy is an active member. The Emery, Hannaford, Wheatly, Lee family, Tomlinson, Scully, Hall and Gerathy families agree Batemans Bay is a great place. They were delighted and made to feel special when Mariners receptionist Ann Mikalat put out a sign: "Welcome Friends of Bob Simpson". They had never received a welcome like that anywhere in NSW! Thank you, Ann.
