Single lane closures and stop/slow traffic control will be in place while the work is carried out.
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday, November 8-12, weather permitting.
"During this night work, testing of the bridge lift span will take place and motorists are advised to allow up to 10 minutes additional travel time," the spokesperson said.
"A reduced speed limit of 40kmh will also be in place on the Princes Highway over the Batemans Bay Bridge and on Clyde Street west during work hours for the safety of workers and motorists.
"Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control."
