Happy birthday last Wednesday to gorgeous Rachael Degning from the Bay. I hope the kids made you breakfast in bed ... or would that be "breakfast all over the bed"?
A sad farewell to Frank O'Brien, of Narooma, was held at Broulee last Tuesday. My condolences to Frank's family and friends, many of whom travelled from Victoria with special permission.
Debbie and Tim Pakis, of Broulee, are getting into the swing of morning tea with seven friends! The morning tea turns into an impromptu lunch and dinner and an all day/night jamming sesh on the ukes, guitar, tambourine, spoons and saucepan. Next thing they will be selling tickets!
Happy birthday also to Annie Birmingham, of Tomakin - this crafty, clever gal was probably creating something beautiful on her special day!
When people say: 'You're going to regret that in the morning!', I sleep in till noon because I'm a problem solver!
A big anniversary for Cheryl and Wain Fenton, married 54 years. Cheryl, you could have been in and out by now ... you know what I mean? However, that is a wonderful achievement, congratulations!
Bay babe Tanya Fane is living life on the coast to the utmost with a sunset dinner at Wimbie Beach with calamari, chips, wine and a gorgeous pink sunset! We are so lucky to live where we live!
After a six-month delay, Heidi West and Scott Belcher finally exchanged wedding vows on October 3 in the beautiful gardens of Scott's parents' East Lynne property, surrounded by family and friends.
Bay expats Richard and Michelle Langshaw are in town catching up with family and friends. Richard timed it well, celebrating his birthday at Surf Beach: lamb shanks, lemon meringue pie and a delicious caramel sponge birthday cake. Also celebrating a birthday is gorgeous Caroline Meyn - a pretty good scrabble player when not commiserating with folk who have dings and bangs and need her help at B&S Smash repairs.
For an amazing display of hippeastrum, look left just as you pass the old Bodalla cheese factory. Chris has an amazing display and is happy to sell you a bulb and fresh garden vegetables. Happy 34th anniversary to cute couple Chris and Steve Kelly from the Bay. As Chris says: "Good times, bad times, happy times and sad times but two beautiful sons and a lot of memories later!" Mogo Nye clan matriarch, Margaret, celebrated her birthday with family, a giant cake and a candle that defied science.
