This year's Rally of the Bay was a huge success, bringing more than $725,000 to the region, the North Shore Sporting Car Club says.

Rally of the Bay event director Nigel Bland said goals were reached for the July event which proved to be "a great success".
"Eighty-five crews started the event bringing 800 bed nights and generating more than $725,000 economically to the region," Mr Bland said.
There was a full-field of 90 cars, where Mr Bland said an average local direct spend of $2000 per competitor was generated.
Mr Bland said the event also raised money for bushfire relief and helped promote the region as a premier tourist destination
