But just as one door opens, others close and Sunday's NRL game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium will be both Euan Aitken and Tyson Frizell's last in the Red V.
"I haven't given the fact it's my last game too much thought, rather concentrating on the weekend's match and performing well," former Shellharbour Shark Aitken said.
"I've never been one to focus too much on the long-term, rather live in the moment as best I can - especially as rugby league being such a week to week sport.
"I'm stoked to play a home fixture to end my Dragons career, giving me a chance to say thanks to all our loyal fans and go out a winner.
"Once the game is over though, then I'll sit back and take some time to reflect on all the great memories I've made here, including all the great Anzac Day wins and that intercept try I scored to beat Canberra in extra-time.
"As good as some of the memories are, the main thing I'll take away from my time at the Dragons will be the mates I've made here, which is something I'll cherish forever."
The 25-year-old's journey, which includes 120 appearances over six seasons at the Dragons, all started with the Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs as a junior.
"Since I made the move up the coast to Wollongong, there has been a lot of hard work and dedication into getting myself where I am today," Aitken, who returns to the 17-man squad after missing the side's loss to Newcastle with a hamstring issue, said.
"It's been a great journey and it'll be really special to share it with so many Dragons pathways players in the backline."
As much as he would have like to stay loyal and be a one-club player with the Dragons, Aitken is excited about the prospect of joining the Warriors in 2021.
"I'm really excited by the new challenge in front of me and with all the new signings, including Addin Fonua-Blake this week, the side is coming together really well," Aitken, who has 39 tries in his career, said.
"It was obviously the Dragons decision to not keep me but I know I'm going to be an asset to the Warriors.
"I've never had any regrets on the field and I'm happy to end my time here on a positive note, playing some of the best footy of my career."
Sunday's match kicks off at 4.05pm.
