I cannot thank the staff at Maranatha enough for the wonderful care they provided during his five-and a half years there.
He was a good man, a faithful husband, a loyal friend and a caring father.
They don't make them like that anymore! Vale Bobby.
On a lighter note, birthdays this week were celebrated in style.
Georgie Rowley took her mum Barbara Rowley to the Pickled Octopus at Tuross Head. Barbara celebrated her 88th birthday.
She lives at The Manor and still enjoys a chat.
Gals, don't forget the new Marketplace at Batehaven.
The coordinator is looking for more locals to join, so if you have something interesting to sell, why not contact her.
She is also hoping to get a mothers and babies group going which would be a great way for new (and not-so-new) mums to meet and form friendships.
They even have poetry readings at The Marketplace. Its behind the News Agency and parking is generally available close by, so why not call in and see for yourself?
Happy birthday also this week to gorgeous Noelene Cowdroy from Moruya. We still think "Mrs Brown, you've got a lovely daughter"!

Joy Dillon also enjoyed another cake with the fire brigade on stand by!
Saturday 9.30-11am, Thursdays until Christmas, everyone who has been affected by the fires is welcome to come to the car park of the Bay Baptist Church, 1 Tallgums Way Surf Beach, where there is an orange shipping container full of NEW items which have been donated: clothes, linen, some food and cleaning items.
COVID-safe practices are in place.
On Saturday, September 26, 10am-1pm, drop in at John Street Reserve, Princes Highway, Mogo and talk to staff and consultants about the draft Mogo Adventure Trails Hub Masterplan.
It's free and you might just be able to make a great suggestion.
That sounds exciting, an adventure hub in our own backyard!
Join the Eurobodalla Shire staff to look for greater gliders in the Durras forest.
A local glider enthusiast will lead the search and answer your questions on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday 29th, 6pm-8pm.
This is a free event but bookings are essential with Natalie Foster on 4474 7329.
