Police have established a crime scene to investigate the cause of a fire which destroyed one building and damaged another in Narooma overnight.

"About 7.45pm (Sunday, September 20) emergency services were called to a building on Noorooma Crescent, Narooma, following reports of a fire," a police spokesperson said.
"The commercial building was found well alight. The blaze was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW, with the building destroyed and a neighbouring business suffering smoke and water damage.
"A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined.
"Officers from South Coast Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze with the cause not yet known.
"As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
