As part of River of Art, Bodalla Public School year 5 and 6 students learned how to compose beautiful photographs in their own environment, such as the two pictured in this story.
Madison Parlett caught the beautiful image of the daisy with water droplet and Rihanna Fitzgerald snapped the falling water.
The School Selfie exhibition will be held at Narooma Library as part of this month's River of Art Festival, September 18 to 27.
Festival committee member and workshop mentor Brian Harris said the project introduced children to "new ways of viewing their school environment and their place within it, via the art of photography".
"The photographs combine to create a unique mosaic of the stunning Bodalla environment," he said.
The students worked with Eurobodalla Photographic Club member Mick Newnham, who developed and led workshops on composition, light, angles and colour.
The results speak for themselves.
Other schools were invited to participate but due to COVID concerns, this year's exhibition will only feature the Bodalla school.
The students' work will be showcased on the River of Art website.
The festival runs from September 18 to 27 and despite the COVID challenges, will still feature the River of Art Prize, Open Studios, workshops and exhibitions. Some artists will not open their studios, but are featured on virtual tours.
"Another new event is the mural initiative - REVIVE - which will see large public murals being painted in Bateman's Bay, Moruya and Narooma throughout the festival," organisers said.
Visit www.riverofart.com.au for the festival program.
River of Art is funded by the NSW Government through Destination NSW and the Eurobodalla Shire Council.
