Former Australian Diamond Susan Pettitt trained the girls in a modified session, and current Diamond Keira Austin answered questions and provided tips in a Q&A video call.
The surprise workshop was part of the "Be an Origin Diamond for a Day" initiative, as part of the company's partnership with Netball Australia.
The initiative aims to support communities who have faced hardship.
The Broulee girls faced a horrific summer of fires and some had families who were part of the emergency services team involved throughout the period. Several players' homes were affected and the facility was under threat at the fire's peak.
The COVID-19 pandemic then forced the cancellation of the State Age championships for the representative players, and shortened the Eurobodalla Shire winter competition.
Former Australian Diamond's player Susan Pettit said it was important to support grassroots organisations. "I'm from a small town close to here and growing up I would have loved this opportunity. So it's really great to get out here and give back as much good energy as I can to the area," Ms Pettit said.
Origin also provided $3000 in funding to support families in purchasing uniforms and registration fees.
Broulee Netball Club Committee Member, Nat Horne, said the funding would make a difference. "When I heard the news about the funding, I actually teared up," Ms Horne said. "It just means that we can keep on as usual."
The workshop is part of a three-year community partnership between Origin Energy and Netball Australia that will help support the ongoing growth of the sport from the grassroots level all the way through to the national team.
Origin Energy CEO Frank Calabria said the company was thrilled to support the club. "We are thrilled to be partnering with Netball Australia to support a much-loved Australian sport and players at all levels across the country - from local clubs right through to the world-leading Australian Diamonds," he said.
