A spokesperson said about 6700 customers lost power on Monday due to hazardous wet weather conditions.
Since Monday, Essential Energy had restored power to nearly 5780 properties by 1.15pm on Tuesday.
1.15pm: "This morning, crews have worked since the early hours and have successfully restored power to approximately 920 customers," an Essential Energy spokesperson said.
"Essential Energy confirmed estimated times of restoration with customers via text message this afternoon.
"Many customers will be reconnected today, however some may be without power until tomorrow.
"Power restoration works are being completed as quickly as safety allows.
"We will continue to communicate with customers directly as more information becomes available."
Report fallen powerlines, network damage, fires or trees contacting powerlines to Essential Energy on 13 20 80, or call 000 if the situation is life threatening.
7am: Essential Energy crews restored power to about 4800 homes and business, however 1874 were still without power at 7am on Tuesday morning, July 28.
Severe weather caused a number of power outages in the Eurobodalla Shire.
Locations affected included Narooma, Kianga, Meringo, Jeremadra, parts of Tomakin, Malua Bay, Sunshine Bay, Batehaven, Maloneys Beach, South Durras and the Kings Highway between Nelligen and North Batemans Bay.
A spokesperson said large trees fell onto powerlines in multiple locations, causing significant damage to the network.
"Yesterday, crews worked throughout the night in challenging conditions to restore power to approximately 4800 homes and business across the region," the spokesperson said.
"Unfortunately, with weather conditions still posing a challenge for crews, 1874 customers remain without power.
"Essential Energy has deployed additional crews from Bombala, Goulburn, Bega, Cooma and Queanbeyan depots to assist local crews to repair the damage to the electricity network."
Operations Manager, Darren Basterfield, also reminded the public to stay at least eight metres away from damaged or fallen powerlines.
"Always treat powerlines as live and remember that anything in contact with them, such as cars, trees or fences, can conduct electricity and pose a danger," Mr Basterfield said.
"We encourage residents to immediately report fallen powerlines, network damage, fires or trees contacting powerlines to Essential Energy on 13 20 80 or call 000 if the situation is life threatening."
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the power outages and thank customers for their patience."
