A Surf Beach woman is one of three people across the state to be fined over the weekend for failing to self-isolate after returning from Victoria.
The 63-year-old was issued a $1000 Penalty Infringement Notice on Sunday after NSW Police received reports she had visited a supermarket in Batemans Bay.
Under the state's Public Health (COVID-19 Border Control) Order 2020 residents must self-isolate at their place of residence, or another suitable place, until 14 days have passed since leaving Victoria.
According to NSW Health, "there are only limited reasons an affected person can leave their home, including obtaining medical care, complying with legal obligations, providing an essential service, in an emergency or to leave NSW".
Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in NSW on Monday, while Victoria has had its worst day of the pandemic after recording 532 new cases.
