Power outages
Essential Energy has reported power outages in Lilli Pilli and Surf Beach areas where 1929 customers were affected on Monday morning, July 27. In Catalina, 1047 were without power and at Surfside, 2370 properties without power. The cause of the outages were being investigated.

At about 6am, 96 customers of Narooma were also affected by power outages. Essential Energy was investigating.
Transport for NSW has reported the Princes Highway and Cranbrook Road traffic lights at Batemans Bay were flashing yellow since 5.23am.
The traffic lights of Princes Highway and Beach Road are blacked out, and traffic was also affected on the Princes Highway at Berrima Parade.
Transport for NSW urges motorists to exercise caution.

Flood warning
NSW SES has warned residents that minor flooding at Wamban was likely.
"The Bureau of Meteorology is expecting the Deua River at Wamban to exceed the minor flood level (4.40 metres) around 7am Monday," an SES spokesperson said.
"The river level may reach around 5 metres 10am Monday with minor flooding."
The Moruya River was expected to remain below the minor flood level. Minor flooding is forecast for the Moruya and Deua Rivers.
"The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted that minor flooding is likely at Wamban on Monday morning," the spokesperson said.
"The Deua River at Wamban is likely to exceed 4.4 metres and may reach 5 metres.
"The current River height for the Duea River at the Riverview gauge is 4.04 metres at 10:00 pm at and is rising."
Hazardous surf
Marine Rescue reminds boaters there's a hazardous surf warning for today, Monday, July 27.
Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming in the following areas: Hunter, Sydney, Illawarra, Batemans and Eden coasts.
Safety Advice:
The NSW Police Force, Marine Area Command advises that:
- People should consider staying out of the water and avoid walking near surf-exposed areas.
- Rock fishers should avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean and seek a safe location that is sheltered from the surf.
- Boaters planning to cross shallow water and ocean bars should consider changing or delaying their voyage.
- Boaters already on the water should carry the appropriate safety equipment and wear a lifejacket.
- Boaters should remember to log on with their local Marine Rescue radio base via VHF Channel 16 or the free MarineRescue App and consider their safety management plan.
