This year, Claire will be showcasing her talents on stage, as a cast member of The Bay Theatre Players musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone.
When Claire discovered her friend and colleague, Paige Davies, was the choreographer of the upcoming show, she knew it would be lots of fun and a great time to get involved in theatre again, especially a musical.
Claire grew up in Bowral and did a lot of Theatre work with the Southern Highlands Theatre Group.
Her past theatre credits include playing Duffy in Annie, as well as dancing in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Cats.
Claire's passion is dance, she has danced her whole life and now runs her highly successful studio full time. The studio offers dance and cheer classes for all ages and abilities, including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop Contemporary dance, Kinder dance, Adult classes, Musical Theatre, acrobatics and cheer leading.
"Dance is such a powerful and important part of so many lives," Claire said.
"It encourages self-confidence, determination and creativity, as well as teaching discipline, teamwork and healthy lifestyle choices"
The Bay Theatre Players are thrilled to welcome Claire as one of the featured dancers in The Drowsy Chaperone ensemble.
Audiences are in for a treat as this professional dancer takes to the stage with some jaw-dropping and beautiful choreography.
Look out for Claire's high-kicks, cartwheels and splits in the exciting production of The Drowsy Chaperone on stage at The Playhouse later this year.
Meanwhile, it's time to explore some Latin rhythms and make those hips move.
Claire will teach a beginner class with foundation foot actions, leg technique and hip movements in Batemans Bay on Tuesdays from 7.30pm, from July 21.
All are welcome.
No dance experience is necessary.
