Captain Mark Gould said it took firefighters five minutes to extinguish the flames, which had had spread to 10 square metres of grass. The blaze did not threaten property.
Captain Gould said police were investigating the cause of the fire.
Moruya Fire and Rescue crews were also sent to a car crash on Monday, June 29 after they were called to a report of a trapped person.
On arrival, paramedics had driven the patient to hospital.
A spokesperson said the driver lost control in wet conditions.
Crews assisted with the clean-up with the assistance of RMS. Police and a tow-truck were at the scene.
