The Friends of the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden will begin selling tickets on November 1 in a raffle to help the facility continue its recovery from the the New Year's Eve fire which closed it for six months.
First prize is a queen-bed sized quilt featuring appliqued flowers, made by the Nowra Quilters and donated by the Malua Bay Night Owl Quilters.
The quilt was presented to Friends President Heather Haughton by Night Owls President Julie Criss on February 25 after a tumultuous time.
Ms Criss said she packed the quilt in the car when she and her family evacuated to the Malua Bay Surf Club at the height of the bushfire emergency.
She said many Night Owls Quilters members lost gardens and fences to the flames on New Year's Eve. Fire burnt the homes of two of their members. Two other members also suffered significant damage to their houses.
The Botanic Garden reopened to the public on Saturday, July 4 and Mrs Haughton said it was "incredibly busy".
"All visitors were very appreciative of all the work that's been done," she said. "The café sold out of scones. One customer bought 24 jars of preserves made and donated by Friends of Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden. Plants (seedlings) were walking out the door."
Second prize will be a platter made from Spotted Gum made by Mike St Clair of Bermagui.
