He's been busy posting on his YouTube channel, DanielConnellComedy, including his "initiative" Another Day, Another Mate, in which he urges people to choose a friend from their phone each day while in isolation and give them a call. Sounds well-meaning, plausible, and kosher until you listen to some of the responses.
It might give you a laugh - but bit of a language warning too.
When he's not "letting my hair grow out of control, wearing the same clothes for days on end or showering every three to four days", Connell is making his iso-videos.
He says "COVID-19, the dirty scumbag that it is" had him cooped up inside and bored, so he went through his old notebooks from when he started stand-up 11 years ago "to search for some terrible jokes".
"It's called B-Sides from the Bedroom, there's 10 episodes on my YouTube channel," he said.
"I've also been doing an Instagram live video every Tuesday night at 5.30pm. The activities I've performed live so far have been feeding five chickens, cutting firewood, reading out a quiz, and lighting a fire!"
Who said isolation was boring?
