The community is encouraged to provide feedback on environmental factors and the design for the project.
Transport for NSW Regional Director Southern, Jo Parrott, said feedback was welcome until Sunday, May 24.
"Batemans Bay currently experiences congestion along Beach Road and in the central business district due to growth in the region and increased traffic during peak holiday periods," Ms Parrott said.
"The project would improve road connections to the communities south of Batemans Bay and support the long term growth and development of the South Coast region."
The NSW Government has committed $30 million to connect the The Ridge Road (now Glenella Road) to the Princes Highway, which will complete the project.
Transport for NSW has completed the environmental assessment and developed a concept design for the proposal.
Ms Parrott said the proposal includes a new roundabout on the Princes Highway, with Glenella Road also upgraded as a new two lane road which connects to the highway.
"Key benefits include better, safer and more reliable trips for people and business between the Princes Highway and southern coastal villages, improved traffic flow in the Batemans Bay town centre, and increased access to support future growth," Ms Parrott said.
The new roundabout would have two southbound lanes, a northbound right turn lane to Glenella Road and a northbound bypass lane on the Princes Highway.
