There is only one way now for residents to have a say before the panel makes its decision.

The DA is for a single building where the pool is now, but with limited facilities in size and number, no Olympic pool, no room for expansion, no mini golf, and is likely to be unaffordable (the council won't provide the business case) plus the shire will be left with the problematic, unsaleable old bowling club site.

If you want the "Gateway Development" promised in 2016; an Olympic pool in Batemans Bay; for the council to follow the community's wishes for a heated indoor pool; mini golf to be retained; a new arts, cultural and community centre on the old bowling club site with star-act attracting performance facilities - all at an affordable price (now and for generations ahead) - please make a submission before April 14.

It probably will be your last chance.

At this time, when people are looking to tidy up yards etc, not being able to go out etc, I'd like to do a bit of clearing up, but - like you - find there's too much for the green bin.

The council is on a very good wicket with the green waste - charging us to dump it and then charging again after it's been mulched.

How about the council allow free dumping of green waste for the duration of the current crisis as a gesture of good will to the rate payers of Eurobodalla Shire?
