Although it is tempting to binge-watch the final episodes of Tiger King, my mission is to revisit the things I used to love.
Maybe my list will help trigger some of your forgotten pastimes? Here's what my weekend is looking like.
Saturday is an important one. It's the final day of daylight saving - I have to make the most of it.
As my dad always tells me, "energy creates energy", start the day with something to get the blood pumping - then you know you're in for a good one.
First and foremost, I must check for spiders before dragging the old kayak out for a paddle.
Exercising is permitted under social-distancing regulations, but I (and you) should be careful to choose a deserted lake, pond or stretch of river and steer well clear of anyone else with the same idea. It will be the perfect morning activity before the wind gets up.
Afterwards, I plan to fill the rest of my weekend selecting from my to-do list:
- Ride a bike; perhaps the boulevard from Coila to Tuross or Dalmeny to Narooma?
- Finish reading my book (Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton).
- Tune my guitar, dust off my classical books and patiently try to read them again.
- Paint a picture while drinking wine following a YouTube tutorial.
- Catch a fish then cook it.
Note: All of these will go nicely with sunshine or fresh air.
In the mix, is picking up my phone and calling someone I know will give me a laugh. My Nan can easily chat for an hour and I always leave the conversation in high spirits.
It is Friday and this list has me excited! ISO ain't that bad.
