Please just do it. If you travel to rural communities and small towns right now you risk killing people.
Small towns do not have the ventilators and other material required. Prime Minister Scott Morrison will have to do a full lockdown anyway.
If you do this now we might be able to turn the tide regardless what the pollies eventually do.
It's our country and our friends and families.

No ICU beds
Are the local hospitals planning to create an ICU to deal with the inevitable Corona virus cases that will be admitted or will the patients be transferred to Canberra?

'Tough at the top'
Scotty from marketing has a big problem: "The health experts and states want me to order an immediate lock down. They say we can put a stop to the rapid spread of coronavirus and save a lot of lives if people stay at home for two weeks. This will stop the economy. I really love the economy. My mates at the big boys club really need the economy. They are making big bucks, really big bucks. They are spreading the bucks around. I need the money to spread the bulls...t at the next election. It worked last time, nobody thought it would. I showed them, if you have a go ... What about if I ask them to stop going to the pub, shaking hands and that, ask the ladies to get their hair done in half an hour. That will work, won't it? What's the risk anyway? Those old people are a burden on the economy. I know they built the country, built the economy but they are not pulling their weight now, are they?"
Well Scotty, there is a big flaw in your thinking: what is the point of an economy that does not give us or your big mates a future. Will you tell him or will I? He's the big boss. How about we all tell him?

A distant hope?
Unfortunately, even though the majority of people are adhering to the measures which are in place regarding social distancing, there are still a substantial number of entitled persons who think the rules apply to others and not them.
In the course of my work we have seen people shaking hands, number plates from Canberra and joggers and people walking in groups.

The Eurobodalla Renal Support Group & Organ Donor Awareness was founded in 2007 to provide awareness and information on kidney health, organ and tissue donor registration, disability access and local health matters.
Since 2007 our weekly Friday commitment at The Bridge Plaza Batemans Bay has allowed us to engage with thousands of people, both locals and visitors from afar.
Due to these current circumstances we are all facing from the coronavirus, we are taking a break for an indefinite period.
For information regarding Kidney Health visit www.kidney.org.au and for organ donor information visit www.donatelife.gov.au
Take care everyone, respect one another and remember how strong we all were with community spirit during December and January. I look forward to talking with you again at the Bridge Plaza soon.
Meanwhile, let's organise a regular virtual cafe so we can all stay in contact during these difficult times.
We can sign in via Skype or other network.
