The virus doesn't move, people move it. We stop moving, the virus stops moving, the virus dies. It's that simple.
Our fabulous editor Kerrie O'Connor is celebrating her birthday this week. What a woman!
Use your imagination and think of fun things to do whilst you self-isolate.
The first thing should be cleaning your house, as you need a clean environment if you are going to be spending a lot of time there.
I am learning sign language via the web.
So far my favourite sign is "helicopter".
Watch old movies like Bette Midler's Ruthless People, which is very topical because in the movie, Bette is kidnapped and kept for ransom.
During her time alone in the basement, she exercises all day and turns herself into a fitness junkie.
Send funny letters to friends, Australia Post is still working.
How are those unfinished craft projects going? What about that linen cupboard? The pantry? Have you ever wanted to learn Korean?
What about Facebook Facetime catch ups? You could get dressed up and have a virtual cocktail party. You can even learn to salsa via the web. Listen to podcasts; challenge a friend to a domino trail and put it on Facebook.
Help your kids build a cubby house; sort your wardrobe out and give to charity (hygienically) anything you haven't worn in two years.
Happy birthday this week to gorgeous Naomi Lafranchi from Nook Hair Salon at Mogo. This girl makes my hair curl ... literally. Also celebrating her birthday is lovely Moruya gal, Jacqueline Van Roy. I hope you had a great day Jacqui!
I have been speaking to a team member installing the COWS in Batemans Bay. Communication On Wheels, to you folk, have been installed at Malua Bay and now Surf Beach so we should see an improvement in our mobile service. Thank goodness we have plenty of grass after all the rain....for the COWS.
Great to see Deb Jones has moved back to the Bay from Canberra, we have all missed her happy, smiling face.
Also good to see another part of our new bridge installed. The bridge is taking shape and its possible to imagine the finished product now.
A beautiful wedding was held at Garden Bay last weekend, just before the banns were put in place, phew! Looking absolutely gorgeous, Rebekah married Tyler Brown with celebrant Hilary Eade.
Stay healthy and be kind!
