There was an overwhelming response to the Information and Registration Day held on Sunday, February 2, with over 50 young people signed up to take part in the fun and games, as they gain knowledge and skills in all facets of an on-stage production.
Due to the overwhelming number of registrations, three groups will run each Sunday during school term.
The program will be varied, and also tailored to the interests of the young people attending.
Bay Theatre Players are expecting to have some workshops run by visiting theatre companies and special guests.
Lyn Sterling, Youth Theatre Co-ordinator, said: "We look forward to exploring and discovering each child's talents and interests as we work together throughout the year".
It's not too late to be involved in Youth Theatre for 2020, as workshops run every Sunday and all kids between 8 and 18 are invited to attend.
The Bay Theatre Players are a registered Creative Kids provider, which means that parents and guardians are able to claim a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of attending the workshops.
The fee for attending Youth Theatre is $5 per workshop.

One night only
Bay Theatre Players are thrilled to be able to bring you a one-night-only, one-woman-performance of Kate JasonSmith's play I'll Tell You This For Nothing - My Mother the War Hero.
Phyllis JasonSmith was one of only two New Zealand women awarded with France's highest decoration, the Légion d'Honneur, for extreme bravery in World War II.
After enrolling as a nurse in the British Army, Phyllis was sent to the front lines, finding the love of her life there.
Her daughter Kate, an award-winning director and actor, has crafted this dramatic and often humorous tale of her mother's life into a fascinating 70-minute solo performance
The play is on stage at the Bay Playhouse, 7:30pm, on Friday, March 6, 2020.
Tickets are on sale at www.trybooking.com/603150.
