It was an event organised to replace the annual Braidwood Cup which had to be cancelled this year because of an unsafe track due to level 4 water restrictions.
It was also a much needed boost to the local businesses who not only lost their largest event for the year, but were also heavily affected by the recent bushfires and road closures.
There were 45 teams on the day, with Batemans Bay fielding teams in the Under 16 Boys, Under 16s Girls and Senior Men's groups.
The day was extremely wet, muddy but well organised and very well attended, including the Brumbies starting 15 who played the night before.
The Senior Men started the day low on numbers but with a good win in the day's first game against the Braidwood Bah Bah's.
As the cavalry arrived, they then went on to beat the Jindabyne Bushpigs in their second game but, after a few injuries to their speedsters, went down in their remaining games to Manly Savers and eventual Runners Up the Queanbeyan Whites.
West Harbour Pirates were the eventual winners.
The Under 16 Boys had great numbers in their return to the Red and Black, and drew a strong Warringah side first up, only narrowly losing to the much more fancied side.
A solid win in their second game was not enough to advance to the final.
The Under 16 Girls resumed their great 2019 form to win easily in their first game against the Jindabyne Bushpigs.
Winning their second game to the Far South Falcons saw them advance to the final against Warringah.
They would triumph in the final and were crowned deserved winners in what was a fantastic day.
