Just after 11.30am, a tradesman noticed something out of the ordinary as he looked out from the Marina.

A trimaran had collided with a barge in the Clyde River, Batemans Bay, on Monday, February 10.
"Guys from the Marina came down and separated them, towing the yacht back up the river," he said.
The tradie believed the boat had crashed into the barge and broken its mooring. The barge is now drifting out towards the sea.
"I think they are getting a trawler or something bigger from the Marina to pick up the barge," he said.
"It's floating down the river, past JJ's."
At 12.30pm, bystanders understood the barge had its mooring still attached, making it difficult for the trawler to tow. See video below.
At 2pm, rain started to fall again and conditions were poor. The barge was successfully hooked up and began its slow journey back upstream. See video below.
