Farmers whose fences have been damaged during the Currowan bushfires are being offered some assistance by a volunteer group who come to the fore during traumatic times.

BlazeAid has set-up its base camp at Milton Showground and is calling on farmers to register for fence-building help from Saturday, February 1.
Shoalhaven City Council has invited the organisation to use the area as their headquarters for the duration of the project.
Blaze Aid work in a disaster-affected area for many months, not only helping individuals and families, but also helping to lift the spirits of local communities.
They use mechanical post drivers and set up star pickets on boundary fences, but won't strain - leaving that job to local fencers and subcontractors.
"The people on the ground don't need to have specific skills as such. It's a lot clearing. So, we get someone who's competent on the chainsaw, he'll rip through and cut up detached limbs and things like that then it's basically people pulling those limbs away, Mr Berkery said.
Jan Pryde and Doug Chang have offered to help with administration. Mrs Pryde was on the ground at the showground when it was a distribution centre.
"I've been retired for over a year and now it's great to be using my skills again, in organisation, time management and just helpings things because of the local knowledge," Mrs Pryde.
Mr Berkery praised Shoalhaven City Council's Trevor Cronk, Milton Showground Committee, Jim McConnell and the CRT store at Milton for their support in setting up base camp.

Volunteer registrations will be accepted in person at Milton Showground or by contacting Patrick on 0414 710 165 from Monday, February 3.
Donations of items that may assist with setting up camp and administration processes are also being sought, if you can help please contact Blaze Aid directly.
Mr Berkery said they'e accepting smallers items, tools up to bigger-ticket pieces like box-trailers and vehicles able to tow.
"Your donations in helping Blaze Aid Milton to become established would greatly be appreciated by the Blaze Aid team and the local community," a Shoalhaven City Council spokesperson said.
