There will be an official opening ceremony - with ribbon cutting, welcome to country, smoking ceremony and dance at 10.30am - face painting, story time, Lego play, scavenger hunt, a tour of the art space and a sausage sizzle.
Georgina Adamson, also known as "Noisy Nonna", will perform interactive musical shows, and will bring a special storytelling box - Kamishibai.
The Eurobodalla Shire Council said shows were suitable for preschool and early school-aged children but "everyone loves them!".
Eurobodalla Shire Council's manager of community development Kim Bush said the library now had many facilities and services.
"This library offers the full range of services you expect; free Wi-Fi, computer access, reading and study spaces, kids and youth zones, books, magazines and audio visual," she said.
"We've added a meeting room and break-out spaces."
She said there were two connected workshop spaces ready for hire.
"That's something that's been in short supply in the area - now we've got all these new spaces, let's get using them," she said.
Ms Bush said the family fun day also presented art lovers with an opportunity to join an interactive tour of the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre.
"It's a chance to actively explore the Bas, all the sounds, sights and the balance of the place."
She said current library members and those joining on the day would go into the running for some great prizes.
"But, really, the shire is the winner with this great new community space," she said.
