The audience at the concert enjoyed the musical talents of the young in our region who performed works from classical and contemporary to instrumental and vocal.
Abby May on guitar and vocals sang her own composition to impress the adjudicator and to win herself the first place in the Junior Contemporary category of the St Cecilia Scholarships.
Her younger sister Mia May on violin won third prize in the same category with her playing of the melody My Heart Will Go On from the movie Titanic.
Siblings, Rachel and Chantelle Bennett, performed their own composition, with Rachel on vocals and accompanied by Chantelle on piano.
The song, Just You and Me, secured Rachel third place in the Senior Contemporary category with her clear and impressive vocal range.
Chantelle on violin, went on to play a moving performance of some of Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances, winning herself third place in the Senior Classical category.
In the junior classical category Albert Au on piano and Amelie Ziino on violin won first and second places respectively.
Both performers demonstrated their potential with their showcase of exceptional talents at such an early age.
Jack Gallen on guitar won first place in the Senior Contemporary division, and Luca Ziino on piano secured first place in the Senior Classical section.
Both artists demonstrated their passion for music and their exemplary techniques.
The performers were presented with certificates and prize money ranging from $100 to $1000 from St Cecilia and augmented by the generous support of local groups, donors and Eurobodalla sponsors.
St Cecilia President Chris Heazlewood said money awarded to the winners would go towards singing lessons, music camps or perhaps buying a musical instrument.
All 12 performers excelled in their own way, delivering a polished concert of a standard that delighted the audience.
