Moruya Women Golfers played their last 18 hole round for the year in an American Foursome event on Wednesday, 4th December.

Well deserved winner's of the day for Div.1 were Robyn Hawkins and Margaret Douglas with an outstanding 73.75 nett.

Runners-up Val Nixon and Jan Lumsden were also on their game coming in with an impressive 74.125 nett.

Lynette Gibbs and Collette Blacklock led the way for Div.2 scoring an enviable 77.75 nett.

NTP's were Angie McMillan on the 5th and Annette O'Connell on the 6th.

Pat Cooper "let it fly" achieving the longest drive for Div.3.

Tuross Head Country Club men's Open Championship results. Tuross Head men's golf held the 2019 Open Championship tournament last weekend on a course presented in pristine condition and the club catered for a capacity number of players.

Played over 36 holes on Saturday and Sunday, local and visiting competitors enjoyed a strong competition.

Well known local golfer Leigh Coloe emerged as the club champion with a scratch score of 145 strokes with visiting Campbelltown player Adam Weeks second with 146 strokes.

Tuross club members Tony Brown was the overall net championship winner with 134 strokes ahead of Wayne Fullerton, a runner up on 135 strokes.

The championships were held over three divisions and the results are:

A grade scratch winner: Glenn Evans 150 strokes, runner up Michael Coulter 153.

A grade net winner: Michael Driscoll 140, runner up Mark Haberkorn 140 on a countback.

B grade scratch winner: Richard Wharton 177 strokes, runner up Peter Nikolic 177 on a countback.

Wednesday's game was a single stableford event with 67 starters. The winner was - Samantha Dreyden with 26 points. Second place went to - Les Thompson with 25 points. In third place it was - Mike Birks with 24 point after a countback from - Rob McKirdy also with 24 points. The Bradmans was awarded to - Solveig Olsson & the Accuracy Drive went to - Steve Johnston.

As Tuesday was the ladies last day of golf for the year, 24 ladies set out to play in a single stableford event dressed up in all their Xmas finery.

Division one winner was - Teri Swanbury with 35 points, followed by - Leonie Snodgrass with 34 points. Division two winner was - Annette Manton with a lovely 39 points, followed by - Jeanette Miller with 33 points.

In division three it was - Shirley Quinlan with 36 points, followed by Ann Challender with 27 points. Balls went to - Ann Ware, Gayle MacAlpine, Pauline Nash, Judy Apps, Gail Rogers, Lyn Benger, Lynne McDonell.

The Ladies finished the day with a great Xmas Party as well as presentation of trophy's & lot's of gifts. A good day was had by all.
