A different view of Hong Kong than the situation these days was given at the November meeting of Moruya Probus Club in a five-minute talk by Myra Pringle.

Myra lived in the former British colony between 1973 and 1986. She spoke about food and living quarters and told members how she had enjoyed shopping in the markets. Before Myra's short talk Carolyn Winters told two jokes and the meeting later heard guest speaker Diane Dason speak about Trover and its use in researching family history.
The meeting gave a hearty welcome to three new members, Diana Honan, Ruth Hardie and Roz Thewlis whose arrival has brought Moruya Probus' membership to 50, with four life members. They were presented with their badges by president Di Montgomerie.
Members were reminded of the Christmas luncheon to be held at Moruya Golf Club on December 10. Next year's activities will start with a luncheon at the Adelaide Hotel on January 14.
Moruya Probus meets at Moruya Golf Club at 10 o'clock on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
There are many advantages with being a member of Probus. Apart from meeting new friends, and sometimes some old ones, there are opportunities of being involved in outings.
