Berry, December 6-7
Fairgrounds Festival harks back to festivals of the '70s with gourmet eats, artisan markets, intimate artist experiences, Little Fairgrounds and craft workshops - there's even a pool to make a splash in! Now in its fourth year, Fairgrounds has established itself as an intimate festival experience like no other, hosting a carefully curated line-up of international and local artists across the main stage and the up-close-and-personal Windmill Stage. There's abundant places to relax with friends and indulge in gourmet food and premium wine. If you're keen to stay, there are shuttles to and from a host of regional areas. Wanna camp? Rivercamp is situated on a scenic riverbank. Fairgrounds promises to inspire and entertain all ages. The line-up includes Liam Gallagher, DMA'S, Dope Lemon, Meg Mac, Kasey Chambers and Julia Jacklin.
Mountain carols
Merimbula, December 6
Merimbula's Magic Mountain will host Carols on the Mountain on December 6, beginning at 6pm. This free family event is being presented by the Lions Club of Pambula-Merimbula with entertainment organised by Narelle Hetherington, Frankie J Holden and Michelle Pettigrove. Santa will be arriving at 5.30pm for a Meet and Greet in the gazebo and will be available for photos and to hand out goodies to the children. This year there will be three, free shuttle bus pickups from the Merimbula Coach Stop in Park St to Magic Mountain. Pick up times are from 6-6.30pm and return from Magic Mountain to Merimbula Coach Stop from 9.15-9.45pm.
Race Day
Nowra, December 8
Live entertainment, jumping castle, on course bistro and bar along with live horse racing makes this Christmas Race Day a fun day out. There will also be a special visit by Santa and his Elf. Book a package or just come along with your blanket and a picnic lunch and sit on the lawn. It is on at the Shoalhaven City Turf Club from 11am-6pm.
Xmas concert
Moruya, December 8
The Eurobodalla Live Music Christmas concert includes some of the best entertainers on the NSW South Coast. Peter Dean and Friends are returning to delight and entertain the audience. Come and enjoy the timeless humour and the compelling and captivating renditions of well-known blues and jazz favourites. Malicious Intent are all Year 10 students and perform covers of famous rock numbers such as Johnny Be Good and Voodoo Child. Caroline Stephens, along with her guitar and wonderful voice, will entertain with a range of popular covers from the '80s and '90s. It will be at the Moruya Golf Club from 1pm.
The Nutcracker
Bega, December 7 and 8
The Nutcracker is a celebration of all the Fling community classes including ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop, gymnastics, parkour, Move Me Inclusive Dance and performance companies YFling, Flux Creators and the Fling Company. Join all the performers for this classic Christmas tale. It's at the Bega Indoor Stadium from 6pm.
