Tuross Head men's golfers competed in a stableford event this week and Bruce Brawn emerged as the winner with 42 stableford points.
Paul Ferguson was a close second with 42 points followed by Joel Hilliard with 39 points.
Kenneth Brown and Ross Hendy filled the remaining award positions both scoring 38 points.
Balls were awarded down to 34 points.
A separate team event, a novelty 6 x 6 x 6 competition, was held in conjunction with the stableford round and Ron Rogers, Brad Doolan and Trevor Jones with 97 points were the winners.
The Tuross Head Open Championships will be played over 36 holes this weekend.
Golfers will compete over A, B and C grade divisions with awards for both handicap and stroke winners.
The competition always attracts a full field and visitors are invited to watch some of the top district golfers in action.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade player Troy Kingdom with 1.08m on the 4th hole.
Ken Brown was closest on the 6th with 1.12m and Adam Husband won the 7th hole with 4.83m.
B grade best was Richard Kelly on the 4th hole with 6.17m.
Bruce Martin won the 6th with 2.89m. and Jim Wade the 7th with 1.42m.
C grade player Mick Elfar was awarded the 4th hole with 4.96m and Rob McDonell won the 6th with 1.15m.
Thursday's medley stableford competition was won by Roger Chappell with 39 points ahead ofStephen Swanbury 36, Ron Rogers and Beverley Theobald who both finished with 35 points.
Balls were awarded to 32.
Nearest the pins were won by Ron Rogers, Colin Houghton and Joel Hilliard.
Tuross Head ladies
Only a small field of 12 ladies set out on a very hot Tuesday to play in their 5th Xmas run down.
Division one winner was - Leonie Snodgrass with 34 points, followed by - Chris Wratten with 33 points. Division two winner was - Jeanette Miller with 36 points, followed by - Annette Manton with 33 points. In division three it was - Lyn Benger with 35 points, followed by - Elsa Shearer with 32 points.
Nearest the pin on the 6th - Chris Wratten. 15th - Gayle MacAlpine. The Golden hole in division one went to - Leonie Snodgrass (in the hole) & in Division two it was - Di O'Shea.
Balls went to - Teri Swanbury - 31 points. Beverley Theobald, Pauline Nash - 29 points. Di O'Shea - 27 points. Next week the ladies will finish off their golf for the year with their Xmas party.
Tuross Head Vets
After Tuesday's wild weather, it was a pleasure to hit the golf course on Wednesday with the sunshine & no wind for the 56 starters who played in a par event.
The winner was - Greg Thornton with a +5. Second place went to Neil Mather with a +3 after a countback from - Rob Nash & Margaret Downey who also had +3 giving them, third & fourth place.
The Bradmans was awarded to - Ross MacAlpine and the Accuracy Drive went to - Paul Green. Nearest the pins - 4th - Marcel Kors. 6th - Frank Pomfret. 7th - Steve Johnston & Teri Swanbury.
Ball or Chocolate went to - Neil Watson, Mike Birks +3. Leonie Snodgrass, Les Johanson, Lyn Benger, Chris Wratten +2. Annette Manton, Kath Crossling, Ann Challender, Frank Pomfret, Derek Hoare +1. Next week will be a single stableford event.

Narooma Men
THURSDAY 21st NOVEMBER:
An excellent field of 154 players generally found scoring difficult in the prevailing windy conditions. In A Grade David Bennett emerged victorious on countback with 38 points off his handicap of 3 ahead of John Breust. Third place was taken by Terry O'Callaghan with 35 points on countback from Scott Ker, Richard Goodridge and Bill Hannam. In B Grade club stalwart Bob Bennett posted the best score of the day with 40 points off his handicap of 17 in a round which featured some red-hot putting.Tony Hunt took second spot with 38 points while Steve Marsden was favoured by the countback to head Wayne Rollings on 37 points in third place. In C Grade John Hoare at last registered a victory after what seems an eternity with 37 points off his handicap of 36. Kevin Evans from Ryde-Parramatta took second place with 36 points with Noel Fisher one point further back in third place.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Neil Towers on 3, Ian Miller on 9, Dane Price from Port Kembla on 14 and Rick Porter on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 32 points.
In the last official trophy for the year to be finalised Jason Andrew defeated Denis Fry in a very tight game in the final of the Captain's Trophy to win one up.
Narooma Ladies
Tuesday 18th November was a beautiful day for golf.
The ladies played a stableford competition with Bec Smart the winner in division one with 34 points.
Runner up was Chris Matthews with 32 points.
Division two winner was Margaret Brown with 36 points and Heather McMillan also with 36 points ocb. Balls went down to 28 points.
On Wednesday 20th 32 ladies played the Yellow Course Stroke event. Bec Smart was the winner again with a net score of 65 nett. Runner up was Kath Roberts with a nett score of 70.
Division two winner was Heather McMillan with a nett score of 62 and runner up was Lynne McDonald with a nett score of 63. Balls went down to 72.
Bermagui Men
Results for Thursday 21st November 2019 - Stableford: Noel Flavell (hcp 14) gained the top spot in A grade today with a best of the day 41 points. Runner up after a countback was Bill McKenzie (hcp 14) shading Luke Moresi (hcp 15) both on 37. Jim Manton (hcp 19) won B grade with 40 points. Runner up was John Stichbury (hcp 16) on 38 and next was Greg Cummins (hcp 20) with 37 points. The C grade win went to Len Murphy (hcp 25) after a countback to Barry Benny (hcp 31) both on 39, Arnold Watson (hcp 22) was next on 38 points.
Results for Saturday 23rd November 2019 - Par: After a 3 way countback Luke Moresi (hcp 15) prevailed for the A grade win shading Paul Revill (hcp 9) and Jay Goodwin (hcp 4) all on plus 1. The B grade win went to Rickard Sheather (hcp 18) with a best of the day plus 7. Rob Cattanach (hcp 17) was runner up on plus 1, then came Christopher Blagg (hcp 16) of Mona Vale GC on minus 1. The C grade win went to Michael Derbyshire (hcp 22) on plus 4. Terry Jack (hcp 27) was runner up on plus 1.
