The fire, which started on Tuesday afternoon, November 26, was downgraded to advice alert level.
However, Eurobodalla Shire crews were still extinguishing spots, patrolling for lightning strike evidence and consolidating containment lines before conditions might worsen on Friday.
Catering volunteers received a call on Tuesday afternoon to provide food packages for more than 50 firefighters, and a dozen more on Wednesday, a spokesperson said.
Yummy sandwiches, juice, cheese and crackers, fruit and a few sweets were pulled together into field packs and delivered to RFS crews at Nelligen.
The spokesperson said members were always "extremely grateful".
The catering group helped throughout the year at fires and training courses, with some members also dual firefighting members. For big fires, they could be on call for a few days in a row.
