While we love greeting visitors from far and wide, it's been fantastic to see so many new local faces joining us over the last few weeks.
More and more people are discovering what a great way parkrun is to kick off the weekend.
The exercise box is ticked early with the bonus of socialising and creating community connections.
Every week, the parkrun is made possible by the generosity of volunteers who give up their Saturday mornings and the chance to run or walk so that others get the opportunity for some healthy exercise.
This week our thanks go to Tim Cowley, Ken Cox, Virginia Halliburton, Kim Young, Louise Cox, Christine Ralston and Steve Ralston.
Congratulations to those who achieved personal best times on the Batemans Bay course this week - Peta Martinez, Liam Hopman, Sue Brooks, Kelly Blewitt, Nina Bass, Victoria Schuh and Michelle Purcell.
We also celebrated some milestones for three of our locals.
Mirella Granata brought up her 50th parkrun and Bede Webster and Tracy Denning were acknowledged as the newest members of the 25 times volunteering club.
All runners and walkers are welcome to join us on the 5km course, including dogs (one per person, well controlled and on a short lead).
We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50am for the 8am start.
You can register online at www.parkrun.com.au to obtain a barcode which you must print and bring along with you every week to get a recorded result.
The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout in Batemans Bay.
