Another beautiful day on the green last Tuesday with four matches in Club Fours as well as social bowlers. Two of the matches were very close with only a couple of shots difference, it was very exciting to watch the last few ends played, well done ladies.

President Robyn asked if we could all think about making Care Boxes for the farmers a very worthwhile cause in their time of need.

Thursday, 10 Malua Bay ladies travelled to Bankstown Sports Club for The Night of Champions. Malua Bay were in the Final of Best Performing Country Club in NSW, along with Tomakin, Raymond Terrace, Cardiff and Dubbo.
Malua Bay didn't win but it was an honour just to be there and all present had a wonderful night. Raymond Terrace were the winning club so congratulations to them, they are fortunate to have some of our Australian Champions in their club.
Tuross Head
Tuross Head bowlers joined together to celebrate their champions for 2019 at the Annual Combined Presentation Day. The winners of all championships held by both the Women's and the Men's clubs were presented with their prizes.
Noel Downie was the stand out on the day, winning all but one of the events he was eligible to play in. To add to his success, in the one he didn't win, he was the runner-up!
Downie won the Major Singles, Consistency Singles, teamed with Joel Hilliard and Peter Davies to win the Triples and won the Fours with Davies, Hilliard and Jim Macklan. He and John Monks were the runners up in the Major Pairs, won by Davies and Hilliard.
The Minor Singles was won by Lawrie Riley who went on to win this event at the Zone level.
Denise Lidbury continued her reign as the Women's champion taking out the Major Singles. She was also successful in taking out both the Major Pairs and the Mixed Pairs. She won the Major Pairs with Sue Fahey while she teamed with husband Bruce to win the Mixed Pairs for the fourth year in a row!
Irene Macdonald won the Minor Singles with Rose Farrington taking out the Consistency Singles. The Triples was won by Carol Williams, Rita Downie and Di Challice.
The Women also made some very special presentations. Doreen Monks was recognised for her 10 years of umpiring at both club and district level. She received a special certificate from Women's Bowls NSW.
Denise Lidbury was also recognised by Women's Bowls NSW for her 30 years of continuous membership.
Pam Mazzucchelli was presented with a special present in thanks for her 17 years of service on the Women's Bowls Committee. Pam served the Club in a variety of positions with several years as Secretary and several as President.
Moruya Men
The AGM of the Mens Bowling will be held on Sunday 8 December at commencing at 10.00am. Nomination forms for all positions are on the notice board.
PRESENTATION DAY: The 2019 Presentation Day will be held on Saturday 7 December. 1pm for 1.30pm start. Members and partners welcome. $10 per person includes food and some drinks. Please place names on board.
SOCIAL RESULTS: Wednesday 20 November. Winners: D Ziebel, B Hill and D Cooper. Runners Up: B Manning, C Gallacher and G Wale. First Resting Toucher: D Holmes. The jackpot was not won and is worth $577 on Wednesday 27 November.

Malua Bay Men
Last Wednesday's social bowls winners were Sonia Frey and Ken Wilson. Thursday's social winners were Peter Cordy, Peter Jeffs and Peter Guthrie and the runners up were Mike Alves, Allen Holloway and Greg Wale.
Saturday's social pairs winners were Mark Woodward and Darren White. On Monday the annual 'Socks versus Frocks' match resulted in a win once again for the ladies.
Tomakin Men
Social Triples: Thursday, November 21. Thirty bowlers braved the wind and smokey conditions last Thursday. Peter Chase joined us for a game, having returned from Woolgoolga to live back in Broulee. The winners were Ross Miller, Tony Robinson, and Peter Chase with a margin of plus 10 and 15 ends won. The runners up were Gary Chapman, Dave McCraw, and Chris O'Brien also with plus 10 but had only won 13 ends. The resting toucher, a surprise on such a windy day, was claimed by Brian Leahy.
The winners of the club voucher prizes in the raffle were Tony Robinson and Steve Hall.
The jackpot draw went to the winning skip on rink 3. Steve Gigg missed the joker and the kitty carries over to next week.
Nominated Pairs: Monday, November 25. The winners were Mike Hall and Gerry Vandermey with a margin of plus 19. The runners up were Dick Pooley and Steve Hall with a plus 14. The jackpot draw went to the winning skip on rink 8. Ron Beeley only picked the four of hearts from the jackpot was not won. The kitty will carry over to next week. The first resting toucher was claimed by Brian Leahy. The lucky winners of the club vouchers in the raffle were Phil Versteeg and Tony Robinson.Important Reminders for Bowlers and Visitors.
At the time of this report there were only three vacant positions available for this Thursday's nominated triples. First in best dressed for the last Thursday of the month when all green fees will be paid out in prize money.
All Men's Club Members and invited guests are requested to nominate for bowls and their menu choice for lunch for our presentation day to be held on Saturday 7th December.
We would like to see three full teams listed for the pennant trial match to be played on Saturday, December 14. South Coast District advises that pennants will start on Saturday, February 22.
Narooma Men
On Saturday we had 52 bowlers with the continued friendly competition between Narooma and the Steelers. Narooma came away with the coveted Red and Blue Cup for 2019. Winners were decided by Lowest Winning Score and the first prize went to Graham Cummins, Wassa George, Peter Dillon and Tony Palmer (skip) who had a close game throughout with scores level on 4 occasions before they picked up a couple of ends at the end for a 16 to 12 win against Cobby's gallant team (skip). Second place went to Scott Kennedy, John Nicholls and Keith Pickett (skip) who led 16 to 3 after 11 ends before holding off a fast finishing Steelers team for a 20 to 16 win.
On Sunday we had 36 bowlers playing 6 games of triples. Winners were decided by Highest Winning Score with the winners being Leo Winter, Gail Palmer and Graeme Godkin (skip). They had a close game early and led 9 to 6 after 11 ends put in some good ends for a 25 to 8 win against Coral Read, Bob Murphy and Pam Grant (skip). Second place went to Lois Mac Gregor, Cindy Newell and Janet Murphy (skip) who had a 14 to 3 lead after 10 ends and continued playing top bowls for a 23 to 11 win against Alan Paterson, Pat Wood and Jean Vos (skip).
