Oh boy, what an awful day last Tuesday, very hot temperature as well as hot gusty winds, hence all social bowlers decided to only play 18 ends. Alas, those bowling in semi-final of Minor Singles had to play as per Championship rules. Jeanette Roberts defeated Cathy Egan 26/18 in a very challenging game, with Jeanette leading most of the way until Cathy got her eye in and not far behind at finish. Kim Giannasca defeated Judy Davis in another nail biting match, Judy leading all the way with Kim slowly catching up on the last few ends, final result 26/23 so well done ladies. Thanks to Umpire Robyn Butcher.

Social Triples: Thursday, November 14.
Today we welcomed two visitors who joined us for a game, Ken Slade from Quandialla, and Des Blakely from Maryborough. The winners were Ken Beattie, Brian Leahy, and Owen Roe with a margin of plus 7.
The runners up were decided on a countback as there were several teams with a plus 6. The runners up were Dave McCraw, Robbie Macgregor, and Steve Hall. The windy conditions were difficult to deal with and the resting toucher was not claimed.
The jackpot draw went to the winning skip on rink 10. Owen Roe is usually lucky but could only come up with the five of hearts, so the jackpot kitty carries over to next week.
