While some HSC students finished their exams the week before, others studying Physics, Spanish, Design and Technology and Textiles and Design students managed to stay motivated right through to the end.
We spoke to St Peter's Anglican College HSC Physics students Grace Faletoese and Lachlan Nicholls:
Grace Faletoese
"I feel so good" were Grace Faletoese's chipper first words after she left her final exam on Monday, November 11.
She is the only girl in her Physics class of six students at St Peter's Anglican College at Broulee.
"They're so annoying," she joked of the boys in her class.
She wanted to study a Bachelor Engineering and Bachelor Mathematics, with a conditional offer at ANU at Canberra if she reached a 90 ATAR.
"I feel pretty confident I got that," she said.
She studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics extension 1 and 2, English Advanced and Music 1.
She said she did well in her Chemistry exam the week before, but the spread of exams across the month fatigued her by the end.
"I wasn't really expecting to be affected by it so much," she said.
"It got to Saturday and I knew objectively my (Physics) exam was two days away, but I couldn't bring myself to study. I was just exhausted.
"I finished (the exam) pretty early and wasn't really able to do much more, but for the last half hour I was sitting there watching the clock."
A keen musician, she played the piano "as stress relief" the week before, but after a four-week hiatus.
While she didn't party that night - she was heading to Canberra to organise next year's accommodation instead - she said she would sleep for about four days when she came home.
Lachlan Nicholls
Now the final exam is over, Lachlan Nicholls is keen to hit the surf.
The last time he hopped on his board was about six weeks ago before trial HSC exams.
Lachlan studied Physics, Business Studies, Legal Studies, English and Mathematics.
He said parts of the final Physics exam were "pretty hard", and the last two pages "a bit brutal".
"You can't really expect an easy Physics exam," he said.
He wants to study science at a Canberra university, and will try to relax throughout the holidays.
"I want the time to just do nothing," he said.
